I got the idea to do a musical roadtrip because I like geography and maps. I have done single episodes in the past where I featured songs about cities or states, but I decided to do a whole series. I had a hard time narrowing some of the states down and what was going to be 5-6 episodes is now going to be about 14. Some states will get more attention like my homeland of Texas, Georgia, which is where I live now and NY and California because there are about a zillion songs about those two. There are going to be all sorts of genres covered in these episodes and some songs are going to be old school (like this one which features Billie Holiday) so it’s been an adventure. I hope you enjoy it!
