Yesterday, I went to a digital press conference that was held by Ariel Publicity. I met a lot of artists that I have played and that I will be playing in the future. The room I was recording interviews in was kind of loud and hopefully I will be able to clean the audio up enough to post the interviews. One of my favorite questions to ask is “Who are your influences?”. I think it’s interesting to see what people are influenced by and how it makes itself known in their music. I was also talking with Michael from Mikeypod about music we like. I grew up listening to a lot of different stuff. My all time favorite band is the Smiths. I listened to a lot of different genres as my parents had a pretty diverse album collection and also, I grew up in South Texas and was exposed to a lot of things like tejano and mariachi. My parents had everything from Fats Domino, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, random Motown, Rolling Stones and everything in between.

I was thinking about this earlier as I was importing CDs I got yesterday into my iTunes. My iTunes is pretty diverse.
